Culture Connect was founded in 2005 as a nonprofit organization with the purpose of meeting the needs of immigrants and refugees post-resettlement and offering Americans and newcomers an opportunity to learn from one another and work together effectively. Culture Connect’s spectrum of services supports individuals from the moment they immigrate to the time Atlanta becomes their home. We serve more than 6,000 individuals a year and have built strong relationships with public and private institutions, including school districts, hospitals, universities, community organizations, and government agencies.

Culture Connect develops cultural fluency among both immigrants and service providers to advance Atlanta as a flourishing internationally diverse community.

Soweto Gospel Choir from South AfricaThursday, 2/25/2010 @ 8:00 p.m.
Fox Theatre
Atlanta, GA

Expect earthy rhythms, rich harmonies, and a cappella numbers, as well as accompaniment by an exciting 4-piece band and percussion section. Add to this, energetic dancing and vibrant, colorful costumes and the mix is awesome. This young dynamic choir performs both traditional and contemporary music, adding its own unique feel and interpretation to both.

The choir performs in 6 of South Africa's 11 official languages. This magnificent choir is styled with a contemporary feel, leaves all who hear it stunned with emotion. It is small wonder that they are charting a meteoric rise to international fame.

Their 2003 concert in Cape Town, under the auspices of former President Nelson Mandela, witnessed Soweto Gospel Choir in action alongside other musical greats like Bono, Queen, Anastacia, Peter Gabriel, Jimmy Cliff, and the Eurythmics. Wherever Soweto Gospel Choir has performed, whether in Europe, Singapore, Australia, the United Kingdom, or the United States, they have wowed audiences.
